Emily and Benjamin

September 7, 2011

I absolutely love everything about this Florida wedding captured by Amanda Suanne… the parasols, the bridesmaid dresses, the adorable chapel… and of course, I love how well our Love Logo #6 design worked with the classic style of the wedding. To top it off, Emily and Benjamin are just the cutest! Have a peek…

WEDDING DATE: April 2, 2011
LOCATION: Seaside, Florida
CEREMONY LOCATION: Seaside Interfaith Chapel
FLOWERS: Bella Flora
WEDDING PLANNER/CONSULTANT: Heather Archdeacon Williams
GOWN: Amsale
GROOM’S ATTIRE: Men’s Warehouse

EMILY’S FAVORITE DETAIL: I love the classic, timeless look of a bow tie and wanted my husband and his groomsmen to wear them. My husband has no clue how to tie a bow tie. (The only way he would wear one is if I tied it, therefore I learned how to tie them.) We did not want to see each other before we were married, so one of my bridesmaids blindfolded my husband so I was able to tie his bow tie.

I was able to take photos in my mother’s wedding dress before I put on my dress and we were able to have a ‘before and after’ moment…

FAVORITE MOMENT: After I finally made the long journey down the isle, I was so excited to see my husband I tired to kiss and hug him and he looks at me and says “Not yet hunny. You have to wait a few minutes.”… It was so sweet! He was so nervous!

STATIONERY: Love Logo #6 stationery suite, including the wedding invitation, response sets and wedding programs.
WHY DID EMILY CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: For the simple, elegant & timeless logo

Congrats Emily and Benjamin! Thanks for sharing your special day with us!

Fleur and Troy

August 25, 2011

We’ve had several Aussie brides recently but it has been quite a while since we’ve shared a real wedding from the land of Oz. I love the laid-back vibe of Fleur and Troy’s wedding…

WEDDING DATE: May 7th, 2011
LOCATION: Byron Bay, Australia
CEREMONY: Byron Bay Golf Course
RECEPTION: The Deck, Byron Bay Golf Course
FLOWERS: Passion@Flowers, Byron Bay
GOWN: Issa, London

STATIONERY: Elizabeth wedding invitation
WHY DID THE COUPLE CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: It was simple and elegant, and I loved the writing style that the bride and grooms names are written in.

FLEUR’S FAVORITE DETAIL: After months of rain, it was a cloudless sunny perfect day. We changed the ceremony location at the last minute due to potential weather worries, and it became a more romantic and beautiful setting than I ever imagined it would be. Red Carpet, rose petals, flags, sun shining, bird singing above us in a tree! It felt magic.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Standing together with my husband saying our vows. Also the moments after we were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Diamond. LOVED IT!!! Especially knowing this is the best decision I’ve ever made.

Congrats Fleur and Troy! Thanks for sharing your special day with us!

STATIONERY: Love Logo #16 Wedding Logo,  Love Logo #16 Wedding Invitation and Response Set, Menu Cards, Cocktail Napkins and Stickers

WHY DID JESSICA CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: We were looking for a wedding logo to sort of “brand” our wedding and have a through-line!  And we fell in love with Betsywhite for their quality products and incredible prices!

TELL US HOW YOU USED YOUR WEDDING LOGO: We first incorporated the logo as a photo stamp on our save the dates, then we used the logo on our wedding invitations, rsvp cards, and our dinner menus.  I had a rubber stamp made of the logo, and stamped muslin bags that were filled with rose petals and handed out to each guest as they arrived to the ceremony (they were instructed to toss the petals in the air as the bride and groom left the ceremony).  We had a photo booth at the cocktail hour and reception, and my friend Cyrus Raagus made a wrap for the photo booth incorporating our logo. We also used the logo on our wedding favors, which were photo booth picture strip holders.

We ordered cocktail napkins with our logo which we used in the refreshments area for the ceremony, and at all the bars and the dessert table during the reception. We also sent a picture of our logo to Michele Coulon from Dessertier, who was making our cake and treats for our dessert table, and she decorated the cake with our logo!  After the cake was cut we put out little to-go craft boxes decorated with our wedding logo on the stickers we ordered from Betsywhite, so guests could take some treats home with them at the end of the night.

JESSICA’S FAVORITE DETAIL: I loved the muslin bags we stamped our logo on, we now use them to store things all over our home. And I loved our dessert table – I love my sweets so it was a detail I loved working on.

JESSICA’S MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Walking into the reception hand in hand with my new husband!  We both commented on how much love and support we felt in that moment, and how blessed we are for each other and the people in our lives!

Hilary and Jeffrey

April 7, 2011

WEDDING DATE: May 1, 2010
LOCATION: Topeka, Kansas
CEREMONY: Private Residence
RECEPTION: Topeka Country Club
PHOTOGRAPHER: Brian Goodman and Suzanne Hitt
FLOWERS: Porterfield’s
WEDDING PLANNER/CONSULTANT: Stephanie Valley and Jeanne Hoferer
GOWN: Alfred Angelo
GROOM’S ATTIRE: Ralph Lauren

HILARY’S FAVORITE DETAIL: Honoring tradition was a theme of our celebration – I wore my Mother’s wedding veil from 1972 and red heels under my dress, which is a tradition my grandmother started at her wedding 68 years ago.

HILARY’S MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: My sister handmade us a wooden box for a “Love Letter Ceremony” to be performed before the vows we wrote. A few weeks before the wedding, we took time to each write a letter to one another, expressing our thoughts about our reasons for falling in love and our hopes and dreams for the future. We did not read what the other had written, and during the ceremony our parents each nailed a corner of the box shut, and Jeff and I nailed the last two. The box will be opened on our 5th wedding anniversary. This was the perfect ritual to remind us of our wedding day and our intention to love and cherish each other in good times and bad for as long as we live.

STATIONERY: Love Logo #21 Wedding Invitation and Response Set
WHY DID HILARY CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: We fell in love with the monogram and crown combo! It reminded us of a family crest, which was special since we were creating a new family together!

What a beautiful couple! Congrats Hilary and Jeffrey – thank for sharing your special day!
