Trendspotting: Hand-Drawn Details

March 1, 2012

I’ve been feeling so inspired lately by the way hand-lettering has taken the stationery/invitation world by force! Gone are the days of calligraphy being seen as old-fashioned or overtly elegant – these days, hand-drawn type is becoming more and more popular (even in the DIY wedding world). Check out some of my favorites below!

Trendspotting: Great Gatsby-Inspired Weddings

February 23, 2012

Perhaps it’s the highly-anticipated release of the film or the popularity of vintage throwbacks, but The Great Gatsby theme has taken the wedding industry by storm! I especially love the flapper bridesmaid dresses and muted color palettes.

Trendspotting: White Cakes with a Splash of Pink

February 16, 2012

Since I’ve had sweets on the brain this week with it being Valentine’s Day, I thought it was only appropriate to feature these gorgeous cakes! Traditional white wedding cakes no more – these cakes have a bright pop of pink color that is perfect for spring weddings. Here’s a few to inspire, or make your mouth water!

Trendspotting: Creative Menu Design

February 9, 2012

I’ve been noticing a lot of brides wanting to complete their wedding themes with unique menu designs. Whether it be putting together a certain look for a table setting, or having it on display for their guests, menus are another great way to set the scene. It’s all in the details!
