Hello Flights of Fancy readers! I didn’t realize it until a few days ago, but my internship here with Betsywhite has come to an end. It has been 12 weeks since I began creating inspiration boards and informing you all of the approaching fashion trends. It has been a lot of fun, and I hope you all gained a bit of inspiration from all my boards.
To end my internship, I wanted to focus on one of my personal favorite designers. That designer happens to be Burberry. For my last fashion fix, I based this inspiration board off of Burberry’s Prorsum Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. In the board you will find “right off the runway” looks, celebrities wearing the fabulous designer brand, and a few of the brands advertisements.
I hope you all have enjoyed the work I’ve done with Flights of Fancy! Be sure to continue reading the site in hopes to find inspiration of your own.
Best Wishes to you all!

You might be wondering why I keep bringing out all things that revolve around the approaching Spring season. Well, in the fashion world it is always best to be ahead of the game. Designers have already launched their Spring/Summer 2011 collections at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and they have selected what is going to be hot and what’s not.
For this inspiration board, I wanted to focus on all the beautiful colors of Spring. And again, with a little help from Pantone I’ve selected the following colors as inspiration: Beeswax, Blue Curacao, Honeysuckle, and Lavender.
Hope you enjoy!
For this week’s fashion fix I decided to switch things up a bit. Instead of just focusing on one specific color from Pantone’s Spring 2011 Color Report, I decided to select one color and branch off of it. Because let’s be honest, not everyone can pull off the exact hue that Pantone provides, some of us need to lighten the shade up, or darken it in order to achieve the right look.
With that being said, I’ve selected the color Peapod. According to Pantone, it is a yellow-green hue that is vibrant and happy, which is what spring is all about. In the board below you will find different accessories, dresses, and sketches that represent various hues of this color. My personal favorite… the Hermes Birkin bag in the top left corner. I absolutely love EVERYTHING Hermes!
Hope you enjoy!
