[Split] Paper Personalities: Love Logo #5

June 8, 2012

Today we’re featuring two distinctly different personalities of the Love Logo #5 wedding invitation. The great thing about design is that it can be interpreted in so many different ways, depending on your perspective. In this first example, the flower featured in the wedding logo conjures up thoughts of vibrant tropical blooms for an island wedding…

While in this case, the simple floral motif of the Love Logo #5 design mimics the simplicity of succulents. Printed in a subdued palette of Olive ink on Ecru paper, this would make a great choice for an elegant affair…

[Split] Paper Personalities: Nicolette

April 27, 2012

This [Split] Personality showcases the versatility of the Nicolette wedding invitation. This pairing finds the contrast between an elegant, formal look and the more rustic, casual side with just the right use of color. This invitation is simple and yet classic in style and because it is available in both thermography and digitally printed versions, it lends itself well to both styles.

In this first example, I’ve chosen to use black on white paper throughout the entire suite to show how this traditional color can be used for a sleek and elegant wedding.

In the second example, this wedding invitation can be used in deep, earthy hues which would work well with a more casual wedding theme.

So, which one suits your style most? Leave us a comment to let us know!

[Split] Paper Personalities: Love Logo #16

April 12, 2012

We’ve decided to introduce a new series to the blog which we’re calling [Split] Paper Personalities. The idea is to show how one stationery suite can take on two completely different personalities to work with very different wedding (or party) styles.

We’re kicking things off with our popular Love Logo #16 wedding invitation which, although rather ornate in design, can work just as well for a sleek modern wedding as it can work for a vintage wedding with delicate details.

Here, the digitally printed version of the wedding invitation is shown in vibrant colors which would work well with a modern wedding featuring bright neon details. To add a little fun to the stationery suite, each item can be printed in a different color…

In this case, the same wedding invitation takes on a completely different feel. The delicate deckle edges of the thermography printed version of the invitation, along with the subtle shimmer of our Taupe ink would work really well for a vintage-inspired wedding…

Which style would you choose?

Fleur and Troy

August 25, 2011

We’ve had several Aussie brides recently but it has been quite a while since we’ve shared a real wedding from the land of Oz. I love the laid-back vibe of Fleur and Troy’s wedding…

WEDDING DATE: May 7th, 2011
LOCATION: Byron Bay, Australia
CEREMONY: Byron Bay Golf Course
RECEPTION: The Deck, Byron Bay Golf Course
FLOWERS: Passion@Flowers, Byron Bay
GOWN: Issa, London

STATIONERY: Elizabeth wedding invitation
WHY DID THE COUPLE CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: It was simple and elegant, and I loved the writing style that the bride and grooms names are written in.

FLEUR’S FAVORITE DETAIL: After months of rain, it was a cloudless sunny perfect day. We changed the ceremony location at the last minute due to potential weather worries, and it became a more romantic and beautiful setting than I ever imagined it would be. Red Carpet, rose petals, flags, sun shining, bird singing above us in a tree! It felt magic.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Standing together with my husband saying our vows. Also the moments after we were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Diamond. LOVED IT!!! Especially knowing this is the best decision I’ve ever made.

Congrats Fleur and Troy! Thanks for sharing your special day with us!
