Earlier this week, I received an email from one of our lovely readers who recently got engaged and is need of a little color inspiration for her Scottsdale, Arizona wedding. She loved this ‘Pinqued My Pinterest’ post and wants a similar palette for her wedding but her fiance is not a fan of pinks, peaches, corals or any colors that lean towards the feminine.
Well, Devon, I’ve put together a palette for you which I hope both you and your fiance will like! The touches of coral in the Desert Chic board are a really pretty accent but they definitely have a feminine feel. Here, I’m sticking to neutrals and shades of blue and green to create a similar look that’s still chic, soft and pretty. Perfect for a desert wedding, I think!

I can’t believe it’s the last full week of February already! This month has been filled with exciting new launches and announcements around the blogosphere and the two at the top of my list are Pantone’s Fall 2011 Color Report and the brand new BHLDN line (which I’ve mentioned before and I’m sure you’ve heard about 1,000 times by now).
I absolutely love the colors featured in Pantone’s latest color report and what struck me most about the BHLDN collection was the fact that the colors used in the line were so spot on with Pantone’s predictions. Case in point…
Pantone is describing these new colors as “Sensible and Spirited” which I think is a perfect fit. Fall colors tend to be dark and subdued but this year, there’s a sense of brightness and cheer, which I really like. Here’s the full list of colors. I particularly love Honeysuckle and that lovely shade of purple they’re calling Phlox.
What do you think of these colors? Anyone have a favorite?
I have two palettes for your viewing pleasure this week – a little something to get you through the work week between holidays! Taking a cue from the weather reports (elsewhere at least) these palettes both feature a lot of white. Here’s the first: ‘White + Neutral’, or ‘Winter White’ if you will.
Tomorrow, I’ll share a bold, fun mix with white – guaranteed to warm you up!

Since Halloween is this weekend, I thought it would be fun to share a sophisticated October palette. No tricks, only treats… enjoy!
