Fleur and Troy

August 25, 2011

We’ve had several Aussie brides recently but it has been quite a while since we’ve shared a real wedding from the land of Oz. I love the laid-back vibe of Fleur and Troy’s wedding…

WEDDING DATE: May 7th, 2011
LOCATION: Byron Bay, Australia
CEREMONY: Byron Bay Golf Course
RECEPTION: The Deck, Byron Bay Golf Course
FLOWERS: Passion@Flowers, Byron Bay
GOWN: Issa, London

STATIONERY: Elizabeth wedding invitation
WHY DID THE COUPLE CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: It was simple and elegant, and I loved the writing style that the bride and grooms names are written in.

FLEUR’S FAVORITE DETAIL: After months of rain, it was a cloudless sunny perfect day. We changed the ceremony location at the last minute due to potential weather worries, and it became a more romantic and beautiful setting than I ever imagined it would be. Red Carpet, rose petals, flags, sun shining, bird singing above us in a tree! It felt magic.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Standing together with my husband saying our vows. Also the moments after we were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Diamond. LOVED IT!!! Especially knowing this is the best decision I’ve ever made.

Congrats Fleur and Troy! Thanks for sharing your special day with us!

Belinda and Heath

April 20, 2009

WEDDING DATE: November 22, 2008
Sydney, Australia
Father’s house and Japanese Garden, Pymble
Father’s house, Pymble
Stuart Leal
FLOWERS BY: Divine Events
GOWN BY: Baccini and Hill
MENSWEAR BY: Arthur Galan (groom); Peppers (groomsmen)

STATIONERY: Raven wedding invitation and response set
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: It was simple, elegant and a little bit different

Design Note: When Belinda entered her invitation wording, she included a blank line on the invitation (as seen above, left) so that her guest’s name could be individually written on each invitation. A clever idea if you’re having a small wedding and want to add that extra personal touch!

FAVORITE WEDDING DETAIL: I loved the ceremony being held in the Japanese teahouse built by my father, who was also the celebrant.  My mother walked me down the aisle which was a great way to include both parents.

FAVORITE/MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: We had bought a bottle of Dom Perignon Rose when we traveled through Champagne, France, some years ago. Once we arrived back at the reception, we snuck down to the teahouse and opened it together.
