Classic Finds: Dress Forms
Sarah Darcy from Classic Bride will be joining us every Friday this Fall to share a few of her favorite finds, inspiration and ideas for chic, classic weddings…

I have had a serious crush on vintage dress forms for the past five years and I still {sadly} do not have one to call my own. However, I’m determined to find a French vintage form with charming stamps and great working wheels … I want to place her in my walk-in closet {maybe even the bedroom if J will let me} and decorate her with my collection of vintage costume jewelry – draping strands of pearls and rhinestones around her neck … pinning my favorite brooches on … letting a scarf or a sash adorn her figure from time to time. So much fun would ensue!
And I love, love, love the idea of using a dress form at a wedding reception! You could adhere escort cards using straight pins to create that authentic vibe … or you could pin on layers of love letters … You could also pin on childhood photos of you and your love or keep the focus on you as a couple and pin photobooth strips, concert tickets and other memories … Regardless of what you use it for, it could definitely spark fun conversations and be used in your home afterwards.
