Stationery & Style: Tropical Island Rehearsal Dinner

Today’s board is inspired by thoughts of a destination wedding. Thinking of white sands and clear waters on some far away island instantly brings to mind bold, beautiful colors. Letting red be the showcase, I’ve added small accents of orange, to enhance the warmth that red brings as well as added touches of a neutral metallic, like gold. This outfit would be ideal on the beach for the rehearsal dinner with easy sandals and a pair of sunglasses to shield the sun. I hope you can be inspired by your own dreams of a destination wedding. Ambah and Amal

For our next wedding feature, we journey to tropical Trinidad where Ambah and Amal tied the knot in December. This garden wedding was a mix of vibrant colors, African traditions and elegant details. Despite the rain, it seems like fun was had by all!

AMBAH’S MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: This one is hard to narrow down. One of my most memorable moments was the vow exchange. We decided to write our own vows. I think exchanging these and seeing my soon to be husbands eyes well up made it all the more perfect. Another thing that made our day perfect was our family/friends that flew in to be a part of our big day. It meant the world to us. And lastly the look of happiness on my parents face as they both walked me down the aisle. They glowed.

WHY DID AMBAH CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: We really wanted something that represented our garden theme and fell in love with the fact that we would have our own logo.

AMBAH’S FAVORITE WEDDING DETAIL: There wasn’t just one detail that stood out. Since I was living abroad and was having the wedding at home in Trinidad , my sister in law helped me put together my dream wedding palette so that my parents will have a guide to follow. It was seeing how they transformed what I had on paper into the wedding I always wanted.
