We’ve decided to introduce a new series to the blog which we’re calling [Split] Paper Personalities. The idea is to show how one stationery suite can take on two completely different personalities to work with very different wedding (or party) styles.
We’re kicking things off with our popular Love Logo #16 wedding invitation which, although rather ornate in design, can work just as well for a sleek modern wedding as it can work for a vintage wedding with delicate details.
Here, the digitally printed version of the wedding invitation is shown in vibrant colors which would work well with a modern wedding featuring bright neon details. To add a little fun to the stationery suite, each item can be printed in a different color…
In this case, the same wedding invitation takes on a completely different feel. The delicate deckle edges of the thermography printed version of the invitation, along with the subtle shimmer of our Taupe ink would work really well for a vintage-inspired wedding…
Which style would you choose?

Pardon my manners! Although you’ve already seen several of Aimee’s posts, it occurred to me that you haven’t been formally introduced! My bad. Let’s fix that, shall we…

Hi there! I told you a bit about myself in this post but in case you missed it, here’s a little bit about me…
My name is Aimee, and I have been with the Betsywhite team since March. I started out as an intern, and have been quite excited to transition into more of a part-time role as a designer and I help out with whatever needs to be done here in the studio. I am a recent graduate of SCAD here in Atlanta, and I love being part of the Betsywhite team.
Name: Aimee Strickland
Location: Decatur, GA
Place of Origin: Atlanta, GA
Cute clutch or hold-everything handbag?: Usually, I go for a cute clutch, but sometimes you just need a big hold-everything bag, especially on those days where you want your book and a few extra pens and maybe a notebook and journal.
What’s the one thing in your purse you can’t live without?: My writing utensil of choice. I like to have a wide variety of choices when it comes to writing down my next most important thought.
Current obsession: Anything vintage and a little bit rusty – it adds so much character to any piece.
Favorite source of inspiration: Pinterest is great, but magazines are a go-to for me (especially Real Simple and Dwell)!

Aimee is usually pretty busy here in the studio but she’s always got great DIY ideas stirring in her head so she’ll be sharing those with you from time to time. We’re happy to have her on the Flights of Fancy team!
So fun to see our Grace wedding invitation suite featured in the Trends section of the current issue of Australia’s Bride To Be Magazine! We love our Aussie brides!
It’s a new year and we’re adding a new intern to the team! I’m really looking forward to having Lauren join us – not only is she a talented designer, she’s a really great photographer who just opened her own Etsy shop featuring beautiful photo cards. With her wonderful eye for photography and design, I’m sure she will bring an interesting perspective to her posts. Let’s get to know Lauren a bit better…
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren and I’m the newest intern for Flights of Fancy. I’m a graphic designer and do food and travel photography on the side. I love working with patterns, interesting typography and letterpress.
Name: Lauren DeFilippo
Location: New York, NY
Place of Origin: Madison, CT
Cute clutch or hold-everything handbag?: I’m always carrying a colorful clutch when I’m out on the town, but living in Manhattan, plans change at the drop of a hat, so a larger bag during the week keeps me prepared for anything!
What’s the one thing in your purse you can’t live without?: Probably my lip balm (I always have 4-5 on hand) but my phone and ipod are with me at all times too.
Current obsession: Grey tones with a pop of color, like tangerine. And retro script fonts paired with bold type.
Favorite source of inspiration: I can get lost for hours on Tumblr, the Sartorialist & DesignSponge.
