In love and in the holiday spirit. These couples are all tied up with each other… and their festive lights! Such a great idea for holiday engagement photos!
It’s been a while since I featured a local wedding. Katie and Matthew tied the knot a few months ago right here in Atlanta… love Katie’s dress!
WEDDING DATE: August 11, 2012
LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia
CEREMONY LOCATION: Lutheran Church of the Redeemer
RECEPTION LOCATION: Ansley Golf Club
PHOTOGRAPHER: Christopher Brock Photography
FLOWERS: Rick Treadway
BRIDESMAID DRESSES: Bill Levkoff
GROOM’S ATTIRE: Navy uniform
STATIONERY: Love Logo #13 wedding invitation, response set and enclosure card.
WHY DID KATIE CHOOSE THIS INVITATION?: We chose this invitation because we absolutely loved the logo! It was beautiful without being overly feminine. I wanted something to use throughout the entire wedding, and the logo really tied all the design aspects of our wedding together.
KATIE’S FAVORITE WEDDING DETAIL: The flowers and the cake. Our colors were lavender and coral which is not an everyday combination. The flowers really brought the color theme to life! And the cake also incorporated the flowers which I love. Our cake designer, Heather Hurlburt of HH Desserts, also recreated our logo on the cake. This was a special touch that you didn’t see until getting up close to the cake.
KATIE’S MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Wow that is hard! I have lots of memorable moments. One of my favorites would be after my husband and I walked down the aisle. It was such an amazing feeling knowing we were finally husband and wife… and could then head to the reception to party!
Congrats Katie and Matthew – thanks for sharing your photos with us!

Time for an office holiday party? In this round-up, I’ve paired a jewel-toned dress with some glittery accessories for that extra layer of glam that makes holiday gatherings so fun. It’s an easy way to put a fresh take on a simple dress you might already have. When it comes to the holidays, there’s no such thing as too much glitter or shine. Enjoy!

I know greys, browns and black sound murky and depressing in theory, but I think this palette is a great example of using these deep tones in a rich, elegant way – don’t you?
