Vendor Love: Nidhi Chanani
Happy Monday lovelies! If you’ve been reading our little blog for a while, you’ll know that I only write Vendor Love posts when I fall completely head-over-heels in love with something and I feel like I must share (for the good of mankind). Well, I’m in love. And I MUST share.
While browsing on Etsy a couple weeks ago, I stumbled upon the work of Nidhi Chanani and I immediately became obsessed. Nidhi (pronounced ‘nitty’, rhymes with kitty) is a San Francisco based illustrator and designer who was born in Calcutta, India and raised in suburban California. Her work is inspired by life and love and all the sweet little moments shared with loved ones. I just adore the simple, colorful, whimsical style of her work and I particularly love her cute couples illustrations…
Adorable, right?! Many of Nidhi’s illustrations are inspired by her husband (who she calls her hubbahubba – awww) and their daily life together but she also does commission work for other couples!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have an illustration created especially for you and your sweetie? I think it’s such a perfect idea for newlyweds… or even to commemorate an anniversary. I’m seriously considering having one done for me and my own hubbahubba!
This great post on Nidhi’s blog walks through the process for commissioned prints – so fun to see how it all comes together! If you’d like to commission a print, convo Nidhi via her Etsy shop or email her directly at nidhinecco {at} gmail {dot} com.
By the way, she also creates the cutest children’s illustrations you’ve ever seen…
I read somewhere that Nidhi creates art because it makes her happy, with hopes it can make others happy, too. I can safely say that she has succeeded… browsing through her work really makes me smile… and I hope it makes you happy too!
