Seeking Interns!

February 18, 2011

It’s that time again! Candice’s internship is coming to an end (far to quickly, if you ask me) so I am on the hunt for another fabulous intern. Or two. Here’s the scoop…

Blog Internship
To intern for Flights of Fancy, all you need is internet access, design skills, a great eye for curating images and an interest in the wedding industry and/or design. Blog interns work remotely so your location isn’t a factor. Although a design degree isn’t required, you would need to have a talent for design and an aesthetic which works well with the blog. If that’s you, click here for more info and to apply.

Studio Internship
For those of you who live in the Atlanta area, we also have a studio internship available! The studio internship is a 3-6 month, non-paid position best suited for students with a genuine interest in the stationery industry. Depending on performance during the internship, a permanent paid position as a Junior Designer or Studio Assistant may be offered. Click here for more details and to complete the application.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Inspired Intern: Ampersand = Awesome

February 17, 2011

In case you can’t tell, I think I’m beginning to have a little thing for ampersands! I love the thought of taking something so basic that is used in our every day lives’ and turning it into a real statement piece. Ampersands are popping up in home decor, fashion, jewelry, weddings and more. There’s a type of beauty that comes out in them when they’re seen alone that often gets overlooked when they are surrounded by other typography. Plus, the word itself is so fun. Just say it – AMPERSAND!
