I’m SO excited about today’s post!! Don’t you love having a great go-to piece in your closet – that perfect dress you can throw on with a cute pair of shoes and with minimal effort, know you look fabulous? Well, the place to find those one-piece wonders is Shabby Apple! Shabby Apple is all about cute, comfortable, and most importantly, affordable clothing. They’ve got women’s dresses to suit a wide range of styles from fun and flirty to chic and sophisticated. Take a peek:
Wouldn’t these be perfect to wear at a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or even on your honeymoon? They even have a line of little girls dresses which I think would be a great alternative to typical frou frou flower girl dresses.
One of my favorite dresses from their Spring 2011 collection is Bali Ha’i’ – I love the color (it’s close to the color ‘Phlox’ which was just featured in Pantone’s 2011 Color Report) and it’s classic, timeless style. I also love the fact that you can rock it with casual flats or spice it up with a killer pair of pumps. Know what’s even better about this dress? You can win it!!! Yup, Shabby Apple is giving this Bali Ha’i’ dress to one of you lovely Flights of Fancy readers*!
All you have to do is leave a comment letting us know how or where you would wear this lovely frock and we will randomly pick a winner. If that weren’t enough, Shabby Apple is also offering a 10% discount to our Facebook fans! Be sure to join us on Facebook to get the discount code.

Well everyone, this is my last post as an intern here at Flights of Fancy! I’ve had a lovely time sharing beautiful and fun images with you… which leads me to the inspiration I pulled together this week. I love the look of these soft pink images with touches of gray and brown. It makes me want warm and relaxing summer days to get here even faster!

I can’t believe it’s the last full week of February already! This month has been filled with exciting new launches and announcements around the blogosphere and the two at the top of my list are Pantone’s Fall 2011 Color Report and the brand new BHLDN line (which I’ve mentioned before and I’m sure you’ve heard about 1,000 times by now).
I absolutely love the colors featured in Pantone’s latest color report and what struck me most about the BHLDN collection was the fact that the colors used in the line were so spot on with Pantone’s predictions. Case in point…
Pantone is describing these new colors as “Sensible and Spirited” which I think is a perfect fit. Fall colors tend to be dark and subdued but this year, there’s a sense of brightness and cheer, which I really like. Here’s the full list of colors. I particularly love Honeysuckle and that lovely shade of purple they’re calling Phlox.
What do you think of these colors? Anyone have a favorite?
