Today I’m inspired by the flawed. A little rust, a few scratches and peeling paint can sometimes make an object so beautifully imperfect.
It’s time for another intern introduction! Samantha is our newest addition to the Flights of Fancy team and we’re looking forward to hearing from her every week. Welcome, Samantha!

Hello fancy readers! My name is Samantha and I am the new intern here at Flights of Fancy. I am a senior at Western Carolina University where I am majoring in Communications with a concentration in Print Media, and a minor in Art.
For my first ‘inspired’ post I immediately thought of things that make you say “WOW” at first glance. Of course being in the Art world I know that can include anything and everything! To narrow the wow-factor down, I decided to select the two things that I am completely in love with. Shoes and other accessories. For me, I love shoes… all shoes, and accessories are what make an outfit’s overall appearance perfect.
In the following board you will see shoes of all sorts that just scream “look at me!” The accessories below are outstanding and defy what we see as ‘normal.’
I am excited about being a part of Flights of Fancy, and I am looking forward to creating more inspirational ideas as this internship continues!

I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend!
In case you missed it on Ruffled a couple weeks ago, I’ve designed another freebie template for you. This one was inspired by one of my favorite color palettes and has the same Shabby Chic/French Provincial feel…
As usual, I’ve also included a few bonus palettes in the download:
The template is super simple to use – all you need is Adobe Acrobat Reader (which you can get for free here if you don’t have it already). Then just type your wording in the template, print on cardstock and trim using the cropmarks as a guide.
Please keep in mind that in order for the personalized portion of the template to work on all computers, a standard font needed to be used.
