Classic Style: Dripping Candles
Sarah from Classic Bride has been with us every Friday for the past several months to share a few of her favorite finds, inspiration and ideas for chic, classic weddings. It has been such a pleasure having her contribute to Flights of Fancy but sadly, all good things must come to an end. This is Sarah’s final Classic Finds post here on Flights of Fancy but be sure to check out her blog for your classic style fix!
One of the first weddings I attended that really took my breath away had dripping candles set amongst lovely arrangements of peonies … lots of blush pink with accents of gold … it rang true of Marie-Antionette-approved decadence … and the candles are what really set everything off … their warm glow … the dripping wax … such a simple yet dramatic element to incorporate. You may want to be careful if lots of children will be in attendance but I say if you’re going to do candles, go all out and get the real deal … they add a lovely sense of intimacy that LED candle lights just don’t provide {even though they’re much more safe!}. ;o)
