Hello everyone! I am Darci from With This Ring and am so excited to be posting on Flights of Fancy.  I adore the work that Gia creates through both her blog and betsywhite, so I certainly have some big shoes to fill.  But I am looking forward to spending some time here over the next few weeks!

When you start planning your wedding it is a blank slate, one that is completely open to your interpretation of design and ready to be infused with your style as a couple.  One of my favorite things about writing a wedding blog is watching trends emerge, and then looking at the numerous variations of just one design element as brides and grooms make it their own!  Lately there have been a lot of polaroids popping up in weddings (and beyond), and its no surprise that I am enjoying the many iterations of their use.  The heart collage might be my favorite, but I also love the idea of using polaroids as escort cards!  And they can also easily be used for a DIY photobooth, where guests can both take home a memento and leave one for you as a keepsake.  Adorable, no?
