Another one of our new designs for 2010 is called Aubrey. The inspiration for the design was really quite simple: I was day dreaming about an elegant outdoor wedding where the bride and groom tie the knot under a beautiful – perhaps even meaningful – tree and I wanted to create an invitation for that wedding in my head. Is it strange that I still daydream about planning a wedding even though I’ve been married for almost 9 years? Occupational hazard, I guess.

Anyway, I love the idea of bringing lots of elegance to the outdoors with chandeliers handing from tree branches and lovely chaise lounges on the lawn and other vintage touches – so I decided to create a design that was simple but also quite elegant. Here’s the inspiration:
