Gail Johnson with Wedding Soirée has been joining us every Tuesday for the past few weeks to share a few tips and tidbits from a planner’s perspective. Today is Gail’s last day with us, let’s see what advice she has to share…
The last thing you want to do is make your wedding a cookie-cutter event. Find ways to incorporate your own personal style into the event. There are many ways to brand your wedding, for example, with a specific theme, ethnic details or unique signature elements. If you can, splurge on one item that will add that “wow factor” or element of surprise that your guests will never forget.
Your splurge item could be your wedding invitations, cake or wedding gown. If you choose a splurge item, it’s ok to cut back in another area – for example, maybe create DIY wedding favors or eliminate them altogether.
