Mustard, White, Charcoal and Black
I envision a modern wedding working well with this palette…an event with clean lines and a laid back elegant style.
The bride and bridesmaids: The bridesmaids could wear really mustard-colored dresses while the bride wears a really simple gown. Unique bouquets with unexpected elements would make for an interesting focal point.
The groom and groomsmen: The men could capture this idea of ‘laid back elegance’ with a cool mix of black suits, converse and cufflinks.
Stationery Options: The Gwen wedding invitation (printed in Slate ink on White paper, or even Silver ink on Black paper) would be a great option for a simple, modern wedding. The Katy save the date (in White/Curry) would also work really well with this style.
We also posted an extended version of this palette on the Southern Weddings blog…see it here.

August 24, 2010 at 10:47 amThank you for sharing these ideas. They are brilliant and so inspirational. I love the idea of mustard for a fall wedding but I’m not sure the members of the wedding party will look great in the color. How would you suggest finding a shade that looks good on everyone?
