Black, White and Camel

We’re taking a quick break from Photography Week for this week’s color palette…more photographer features to come tomorrow…

Adding Camel to black and white is a great way to add a bit of a modern twist to this always-elegant combination. This palette of neutral tones will never look outdated. It’s young, fresh and classic and would work well with just about any wedding style. In this case, we’re going for a preppy look.

The bride and bridesmaids: With this palette, there are many options for the bridesmaids: they can wear black, camel or ivory dresses. Simple white bouquets tied with black ribbon would work well against any of those dresses. The bride could wear a white or ivory gown with a bouquet in shades of white.

The groom and groomsmen: The groom could wear a Camel-colored suit with a white shirt and black tie. Perhaps the groomsmen could wear black sport coats with camel pants and white shirts, so they don’t look exactly like the groom.

Stationery Options: Our Love Logo #17 wedding invitation (printed in Black ink on White paper) is ideal for a modern, preppy wedding. The Sloan invitation (printed in Silver ink on Black paper) would also work well.

We also posted an extended version of this palette on the Southern Weddings blog…see it here.
