[We love to see when couples include their four-legged kids in their wedding celebration!]
We haven’t shared any ‘puppy love’ in a while so I figured it would be nice way to end the week. Both of these precious little pooches were captured by the talented Victor Sizemore…

With wedding budgets shrinking these days, one option to consider is an intimate little wedding with lots of DIY details. In this case, the look is vintage-inspired with lacy luminarias, retro-floral melamine plates and home-made plaid napkins. Guests can be seated around one large banquet table for a family-style dinner and a few floral centerpieces could be supplemented with baskets of fresh fruit. Rather than a pricey wedding cake, cut and serve homemade pies (just like Gran used to make!).

If you’re having a formal wedding in the spring and prefer to stay away from vivid or pastel colors, a palette of black and charcoal is a classic, timeless option. Adding Leaf Green as an accent color keeps the combination from being too austere and adds a fresh feeling for Spring.
The bride and bridesmaids: A bouquet with lots of greenery would look great against a white gown and one bold piece of jewelry (like a vintage-inspired green locket) would be a fun, unexpected accessory for the bride. Bridesmaids could wear charcoal dresses and hold bouquets of all-white blooms.
The groom and groomsmen: The men would be dressed in classic attire – black suits with charcoal gray ties. A little color could be added with bits of green in the boutonneires.
Accents: Leaf green can make its way into the reception via the wedding cake, centerpieces and perhaps the favors.
Stationery Options: Our Charlotte wedding invitation (printed in Olive ink on White paper) or the Liv wedding invitation (printed in Black ink on White paper) would both work well for a formal Spring wedding. Antonia in Black would be a good Save The Date option.
